Key responsibilities will include:

• Expose sensitized metal plates to positive or negative films using vacuum frame to produce offset lithographic printing plates for smooth production.
• Sets timer to activate ultraviolet light that exposes plate using positives or negatives to supply well exposed PS plates for printing machines.
• Prepare the printing machine to print by installing and adjusting the printing plates, adjusting pressure between the plate cylinder, banquet cylinder & impression cylinder, inking the offset machine, loading papers, and setting the feeder, set the machine to proper dimensions and thickness of the paper to avoiding paper jams and idle time.
• Monitor feeding, printing and ranking processes of the machine in order to maintain specified operating levels and to check malfunctioning and then attend to necessary.
• Carry out monthly maintenance work such as rollers and proper oiling of machines at correct instructions to avoid breakdowns.
• Preparing menu cards for day-to-day menu list with 100% accuracy to fulfill the requirement on time.
• Maintaining a dust free clean environment in the section and disposal of waste should be disposed properly to create a conducive environment in the workplace.

Requirements

• 6 passes at GCE O/L including a pass for Maths with 4 Credits  in one sitting including a credit for English with 3 years work experience in relevant field.
  OR
• 6 passes at GCE O/L  with successful completion of Offset Lithography course at SLIOP or a course of study of 01 year or more equivalent to NVQ Level 4 with 4 years of experience at a printing establishment in the press area.
