We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Site Engineer – HVAC to supervise, coordinate, and drive the effective installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC systems within MEP infrastructure projects. You will ensure all HVAC works are executed in strict compliance with approved drawings, specifications, international standards, safety regulations, and project timelines, while upholding our high standards for quality and energy efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Site Execution & Supervision: Supervise the installation of HVAC systems—including ducting, piping, insulation, and major equipment—ensuring total compliance with approved drawings and technical specifications.
- Team & Subcontractor Management: Monitor subcontractors, site workforces, and daily productivity, while effectively managing multiple HVAC installation activities.
- Cross-Disciplinary Coordination: Collaborate seamlessly with other MEP disciplines (Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, ELV) as well as consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders.
- Testing & Commissioning: Conduct inspections, performance verification, and oversee the testing, balancing, and commissioning (TBC) of HVAC systems.
- Quality & Safety (HSE): Enforce rigorous quality control (QA/QC), safety procedures, and environmental health standards across all site operations.
- Documentation & Reporting: Review shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documents. Maintain daily site records, progress reports, and handle seamless support system handovers and project completion documentation.
Candidate Profile & Qualifications
Minimum Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Professional certification in HVAC or MEP systems is an added advantage.
Work Experience
- 5 to 15 years of hands-on experience in HVAC / Mechanical Site Engineering within MEP projects.
- Proven track record in HVAC installation for infrastructure, hotels, resorts, commercial buildings, or high-rise projects.
- Experience in island-based projects (such as the Maldives or Seychelles) is highly preferred.
- Prior exposure to international HVAC systems and standards (such as the Middle East or similar environments).
Technical Skills
- Deep knowledge of HVAC systems (Chillers, AHUs, FCUs, VRV/VRF systems, and ventilation setups).
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
- Understanding of HVAC load calculations, ducting/piping installation standards, and control systems (BMS preferred).
- Familiarity with AutoCAD/Revit for coordination and shop drawing review.
Communication & Soft Skills
- Exceptional communication skills for reporting technical issues and site progress clearly.
- Effective coordination capabilities within multinational and multicultural teams.
- Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities under tight site constraints and deadlines.
- Capable of independently managing HVAC site execution, particularly in remote or island-based project environments.
