JUNIOR EXECUTIVE / SENIOR BANKING ASSOCIATE / BANKING ASSOCIATE FRAUD RISK MONITORING
The job holder is responsible for the management of the transaction alerts generated for defined transaction rules for the bank. The role is a critical element of the bank’s defense against money laundering, terrorist financing and fraud.
THE JОB
- Ensure effective transaction management with focus on accuracy, compliance and timeliness.
- Monitor transactions and implement proactive measures to mitigate operational losses.
- Ensure complete compliance with all applicable internal and external regulations by the unit. (i.e., zero lapses on the processes, audits, and daily audits, and the same is signed off on a regular basis).
- Monitor/screen merchants, Wallets, aggregators and transactions.
- Review transaction processes and monitoring policies and recommend changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure the transaction monitoring team achieves the given Service levels and maintains the open cases at 10% on a weekly or monthly basis.
- Provide timely assistance to agents to ensure transaction verifications are resolved immediately or in a timely manner.
- Carry out a check or periodic review to ensure all corresponding actions generated by the unit are error-free.
- Timely submission of Transaction Monitoring MIS.
- Assess the geographic relevance of remitters and beneficiaries in transaction and escalate cases where there is
suspicion or uncertainty in accordance with established procedures.
THE PERSON
- Possess a Full/Part Qualification In Banking and Finance or in Equivalent Professional Qualification.
- Possess 2-5 years’ of experience in payment card transaction monitoring.
- Strong leadership and People Management Skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Effective Communication skills.
