The GCE Ordinary Level (General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level) is the primary national examination in Sri Lanka and marks the completion of secondary education. It is usually taken by students in grades 10–11 (around 15–16 years of age), and serves as a mandatory gateway for students entering university to qualify for Advanced Level (A-Level) streams.

The 2025 G.C.E. Ordinary Level (O/L) Examination, organized by the Department of Examinations of Sri Lanka, is a major national examination that is a milestone in school education in the country. This examination for the year 2025 was officially conducted from February 17 to February 26, 2026.
Key Information:
Number of Candidates: 451,463 candidates appeared for the examination nationwide this time, of which 382,249 were school candidates and 69,214 were private candidates.
Examination Centres: The examination was held at 3,545 centres across the island.
