The Ministry of Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government has published an extraordinary gazette notification listing government and bank holidays for the upcoming year 2026.
According to the relevant gazette notification, May 1st is the Vesak Full Moon Poya Day as well as World Workers’ Day.
