Job Role:

  • Drive the end-to-end talent acquisition process for the factory, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selecting top-tier candidates, and closing vacancies promptly.

  • Work with outsource manpower agencies to ensure we always have consistent quality people & ensure they are trained to perform the daily manufacturing operations. Managing all other matters relating to outsource team members.

  • Own the onboarding process, ensuring a seamless experience for new hires as they integrate into our organization.

  • Enhance employee relations and cultivate a positive work environment where everyone thrives.

  • Spearhead initiatives to improve employee well-being and foster a healthy work-life balance.
  • Supervise security, cleaning, maintenance, cafeteria, administration, and transport services to uphold high standards of health, safety, hygiene, and quality compliance.

  • Maintain relationships and coordination with external stakeholders including the local community, authorities, and governmental bodies.

  • Coordinate learning and development initiatives for continuous growth and skill enhancement.

  • Execute employee engagement activities to enhance team spirit, engagement, and motivation.

  • Monitor team members’ contracts, probationary periods, and role transitions, ensuring compliance and timely updates.

  • Manage grievances and disciplinary issues effectively, in collaboration with respective stakeholders.

  • Investigating and resolving complex or critical industrial relations issues in a timely and effective manner

  • Facilitate the offboarding process, ensuring all necessary documentation and exit procedures are followed.

  • Maintain accurate records and databases of team members, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.

  • Provide HR support to line managers and team members, aligning HR initiatives with business objectives.

  • Address team members’ HR queries and concerns in a timely manner, escalating & following up with relevant POCs when necessary.

  • Ensure compliance with Company and HR rules and regulations at the factory.

  • Collaborate with the Central HR team on group-level projects and tasks as needed.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Passionate about Sri Lanka; you’re committed to making a positive impact for our Country and its people.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management.

  • Professional qualification in HRM is a plus (CIPM preferred).

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in manufacturing/production industry.

  • Prior experience in employee relations or industrial relations.

  • Understanding of HR best practices and labor regulations.

  • Excellent communication skills in English and Sinhala (Tamil is a plus).

  • Excellent IT literacy skills (MS Office package & Microsoft 365 applications).

  • Strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving ability.

  • Positive attitude, professionalism, and discretion.

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.

  • Self-starter with a can-do mindset and readiness to learn and take on challenges.

  • Able to work in person from our meat factory located in Ja-Ela.
