Introduction
The Caregiver Training Program, conducted by the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE), is a vocational training program aimed at both men and women and geared toward the international labor market. This training seeks to meet the high global demand for caregivers for the elderly and individuals with special needs in countries such as Japan and Israel, as well as in various nations across Europe and the Middle East.
Course objective and structure
The primary objective of this course is to train skilled workers capable of providing care services with a healthcare focus and in accordance with international standards, thereby going beyond the scope of traditional domestic work.

Documents required to pursue the course
- Valid Passport
- National Identity Card
- Medical Report ( If over 45 years of age)
- Candidates migrating through a Local agency, instead of the passport, he/she should produce.
- Agency certified copy of the passport.
- Agency certified letter, bearing the migrant’s photograph & his or her details.
