Open Competitive Examination for Recruitment of Assistant Locomotive Driver Grade III in the Department of Sri Lanka Railways – 2026
Applications are invited from Sri Lankan male citizens not less than 18 years of age and not more than 35 years of age as on 28.09.2026 to fill 80 vacancies in the post of Assistant Locomotive Driver in the Department of Sri Lanka Railways. The last date for receipt of applications is 28.09.2026. The cities and town numbers in which examination centres are expected to be established for conducting this examination are given in Schedule 1.
This city number should be completed as per the schedule at the top of the application form. Later change of the city applied for will not be allowed. However, applicants from cities where sufficient number of applicants have not applied will be directed to an examination centre in another nearby city. However, if a sufficient number of candidates have not applied to establish examination centres in all or more of the proposed cities, the Director General of the Sri Lanka Institute of Development Administration will arrange to hold the examination in Colombo only.
