Nursing Training Course 2026 – Ministry of Health

A Nursing Training School is an educational institution that prepares students to become registered nurses. These schools combine classroom theory in biological and medical sciences with hands-on clinical practice in hospitals to equip students with the skills required to provide patient care.

(O/L)Should have passed 06 subjects with credit passes for Sinhala/ Tamil Language, Mathematics, Science and English in the G.C.E.(O/L) examination These qualifications must be obtained in not more than two sittings.G.C.E. (A/L) – Bio Science StreamBio Science Stream: Should have passed any 03 subjects from Biology, Chemistry, Agriculture, Physics, and Mathematics, which belong to the Bio Science subject stream in one sitting at the G.C.E. A/L OR Physical Science Stream: Should have passed any 03 subjects from Combined Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and Advanced Mathematics, which belong to the Physical Science subject stream in one sitting at the G.C.E. (A/L)
