VACANCY
Ceylon Petroleum Storage Terminals Limited (CPSTL) invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to join the project team responsible for contract administration of major projects at the Kolonnawa Installation.
POST OF MECHANICAL ENGINEER, GRADE A-5 (ON CONTRACT BASIS)
Qualifications required
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university in Sri Lanka.
- Associate Membership of the Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka (IESL) and registration with the Engineering Council of Sri Lanka (ECSL).
- Minimum of three (03) years of experience as a Project or Site Mechanical Engineer.
- Relevant experience in petroleum terminals, tank farms, associated piping systems, or similar projects executed within operational facilities will be an added advantage.
- Strong working knowledge of international design and construction codes including, API 650, (Welded tanks for oil storage), ASME Section IX (Welding and brazing qualifications) and ASME Section V (Non-destructive examination).
- Proficiency in reviewing and approving Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), Welder Performance Qualifications (WPQ), and material test certificates (MTCs).
- Ability to read, interpret, and review engineering drawings and deliverables, including Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), General Arrangement (GA) drawings, piping isometrics, tanks fabrication/erection drawings, method statements, and technical specifications.
- Strong site coordination skills, including effective coordination with HSE and other relevant disciplines.
