VACANCIES

The University Grants Commission (UGC) being the apex body of the University System will entertain applications from suitably qualified candidates for the following posts in the University Grants Commission Secretariat;

POST OF AUDIT ASSISTANT, GRADE II

1. Qualifications:

• Should have passed the G.C.E. (O/L) Examination in six (06) subjects in one sitting with credit passes in:-

1. Sinhala Language/Tamil Language
2. English Language/English Literature
3. Mathematics
   AND

• Should have passed in all subjects at G.C.E. (A/L) examination (except the Common General Paper) in one sitting. (Passing in 03 subjects under the old syllabus in one sitting would be sufficient for this purpose.) AND
• Post specific qualifications:

1. Preliminary Level/Licentiate I/Foundation Level/ CAB I/ Executive Level of Institute of Chartered Accountants in Sri Lanka or equivalent
   OR
2. Foundation Level of Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)
   OR
3. Higher National Diploma in Accountancy (HNDA) of Sri Lanka Institute of Advanced Technological Education (SLIATE)
   OR
4. Membership of Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) of Association of Accounting Technicians of Sri Lanka
   AND
5. Minimum of two (02) years’ experience in Auditing in State Corporation or recognized Private Organization
