SLP Group is Hiring: Quantity Surveyor (Maldives Project Site)
Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in MEP construction? Join our team at SLP Group—an ISO 9001:2015 Certified Company committed to excellence. We are currently looking for a dynamic professional to be based at our project site in the Maldives.
Key Responsibilities
- Cost Management & Tenders: Prepare, negotiate, and analyze costs for tenders and contracts.
- Documentation & Contracts: Prepare and review tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities (BOQ), progress claims, and payment certificates.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise effectively with clients, project managers, engineers, consultants, and other construction professionals.
- Billing Cycle: Manage monthly progress bills from initial work measurements up to the final receipt of payment.
- Contractual Advisory: Provide expert advice on a range of legal, contractual, and sensitive project issues.
- Cost Control & Value Engineering: Ensure all operations control costs, maximize value, minimize future liabilities, and maintain high standards of quality.
- Variance Reporting: Deliver reports comparing actual costs against estimates, identify the root causes of any variances, and actively challenge and resolve them.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Handle general forecasting, estimating, and comprehensive budgetary controls.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: B.Sc. in Quantity Surveying.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
- Industry Experience: Mandatory experience in MEP construction.
- Skills: Excellent knowledge of cost-controlling activities and strong commercial awareness.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Work Location: Must be willing to work at our project site in the Maldives.
