Assistant Manager – Distribution & Logistics
(CPU – Habarakada)
Role Description – The position holder supports for entire Distribution and logistics process of Central Purchasing unit – Habarakada with 100% efficiency and effectiveness and 100% goods and item availability within all outlets and reduce cost and enhance efficiency in the process to achieve long term goals and objectives of the organization.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Reviewing and updating routes regularly to increase outbound logistic efficiencies.
- Oversee day-to-day warehouse and distribution operation of the CPU.
- Coordinating inbound and outbound logistics.
- Ensuring timely dispatch and delivery of goods to branches.
- Implementing stock taking of all categories monthly and ensure inventory updates are accurate.
- Ensuring FIFO storage and coordinate with Procurement Team to manage short shelf life items.
- Optimizing transport routesand delivery schedules.
- Identifying and implement process improvements to reduce logistics costs.
- Supervising warehouse staff, drivers, and logistics coordinators.
- Liaising with sales, procurement, and finance teams for smooth order processing.
Key Qualifications & Requirements
- Recognized Degree in Logistics/Supply Chain or equivalent qualifications from a University or Professional institute.
- Minimum 03-05 years of work experience in the relevant field.
- Should be a strongand Influential personality with excellent operational acumen.
- Ability to perform in a highly volatile and dynamic work environments.
- Highly conversant with MS office packages.
- Should bea go getter and ambitious personality.
- Age should be below 40 years.
