Assistant Manager – Fabric Sourcing & Technology
We are looking for a dynamic individual with a passion to pursue career in fabric sourcing and technology. The ideal candidate should be energetic team player with excellent communication, proactive attitude, ability to be self-motivated and work independently to achieve tight deadlines.
Role & Responsibility
- Provide best material sourcing solutions to customers, internal design & product development department with newness/Innovations/sustainability.
- Experience in handling raw materials for Lingerie, swimwear, active wear.
- Awareness of global raw material trends and ability to convert concepts to commercially viable products.
- Ability to work directly with customers/suppliers and communicating with all the material related issues.
- Sound knowledge in Molding/bonding /Printing and offer solutions related to materials.
- Drive the sourcing team to source and develop new materials (fabrics & trims) according to customers’ requirements.
- Knowledge and ability to monitor materials test requirements and get the required technical approvals /verifications from customers.
Qualifications & Experience
- B.SC in Textile engineering or Diploma qualification in Textile Technology / NDT qualification.
- Minimum 5 years’ Experience in similar capacity with Lingerie, sportswear, swimwear
experience is essential. - Ability to work independently & strong communication skill is required.
- Ensure, on time Pre-productions & Risk Assessment.
- Ensure to Update Progress Chart / style file on time.
- Work with M&S, Oysho, Decathlon would be added advantage.
- Awareness of Lean manufacturing system is added advantage.
- Good sound with working in English Language / IT
- Should be a good team player.
