Credit Officer
Locations: – Chilaw, Colombo, Negombo
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Meet new customers and provide financial solutions their requirements (new customer acquisition)
- Assist the branch Manager in achieving annual budgeted credit targets and growth assigned to the branch
- Prepare credit proposals inclusive of financial analysis, operating analysis, risk analysis and other requirements of the bank
- Liaise with credit approving authority of the Bank to obtain timely approvals
- Join the Branch Manager / Relationship Manager on client visits/meetings
- Perform periodic reviews of the revolving & other credit facilities on timely basis
- Monitor the branch credit portfolio & provide solutions to customers with difficulties in repayment
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 5 years of banking experience of which 3 years should be in a credit related role
- Full or Part qualification in Banking, Credit Management or International Trade would be
an added advantage - Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good analytical skills including the ability to understand and interpret financial statements
- Flair for Marketing with an outgoing personality
- Should be able to perform independently with minimum supervision to meet strict deadlines
