Intern – Finance
Scope of Work
- Analyzing and Interpreting Reports, Financial Statements and other aspects of Financial & Management Accounting
- Involving in evaluating and testing accounting and internal controls in accordance to Sri Lankan Auditing Standards (SLAS/LKAS)
- Support the Finance team as they liaise with banks/custodians and communicate with potential and existing stakeholders (internal &external)
- To process accounting transactions while ensuring accuracy, completeness and timeliness
- Assist with statistical analysis and other special projects
- Present data-driven strategic insights and other recommendations to the Finance team
- Observe different aspects of Accounting, Portfolio Management, Finance Planning and Reporting
- Get involved in Tax related matters and other statutory requirements
Candidate Profile
- Following a Diploma, Degree, or Professional Qualification in the field of Accounting and Finance (CA-Sri Lanka,CIMA, ACCA, IBSL, AAT).
- Ability to work in a team-based environment
- Fluent in spoken & written English and have effective communication skills
- Have excellent interpersonal skills along with logical thinking and strong analytical background Proficient in MS Office Package
- Aspirant candidate should have a passion for Accounting & Finance
- Ability to work with high levels of integrity and a Can Do Attitude
