Junior Executive – Finance & Strategic Planning
Merchant Bank of Sri Lanka & Finance PLC (MBSL), a subsidiary of Bank of Ceylon, is a dynamic and fast-growing financial institution committed to delivering innovative financial solutions to individuals and businesses. We invite applications from dynamic, detail-oriented, and motivated internal candidates for the position of Junior Executive attached to the Finance & Strategic Planning Division.
Who We’re Looking For
- Passed G.C.E. Advanced Level examination.
- Relevant professional or academic qualifications in Finance, Banking, Accounting. Business Administration, or a related field will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in treasury operations, finance, banking, or a related field preferred.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS Excel.
- Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Age Limit: 30 years
Key Responsibities
- Verify and settle treasury transactions accurately and on time.
- Process trade confirmations, interest, coupons, and investment-related transactions.
- Monitor investment and funding maturities and coordinate with the Front Office.
- Ensure transactions comply with approved limits and internal controls.
- Support regulatory and management reporting requirements.
- Investigate settlement exceptions and reconciliation discrepancies.
- Maintain treasury documentation and support portfolio valuation activities.
