ASSISTANT ENGINEER
The duties and responsibilities relevant to the position of Assistant Engineer among others are;
- New constructions, renovations, extensions to existing buildings interior furniture, exterior landscaping etc.
- Preparation of building designs and BOQ’s, cost estimates for above works and calling tenders.
- Tender evaluation and recommending the contract to Chief Engineer to obtain tender approval.
- Construction supervision and progress monitoring to ensure the quality of the work and standard as well as work targets are achieved.
- Taking measurement of completed work and recommended for payments.
- Assisting Regional Managers to maintain and up-keeping of premises.
- Attending following tasks in major construction and renovation project in Head Office and the particular regions.
- Checking tender documents/engineers’ estimates prepared by project consultant.
- Checking tender evaluation reports.
- Assisting to technical evaluation and procurement committees.
- Monitoring construction progress.
- Checking of progress bills.
- Any other official duties and responsibilities entrusted by the Bank which is within the capability and/or expertise of the employee to perform.
- Adhere to rules and regulations imposed by the Bank time to time.
