BANKING ASSISTANT- REMITTANCES TRADE SERVICES AND INTERNATIONAL REMITTANCES

You should ideally:

• possess minimum of 3 years of experience in the relevant field
• possess full or partial qualifications acceptable to the Bank
• possess sound knowledge of foreign exchange regulations and related banking practices.
• be an effective team player with strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• have strong decision-making abilities with the capability to analyze situations and make informed judgments
• have excellent motivational skills with the ability to inspire, guide, and support team members toward achieving objectives

You will be mainly responsible for:

• inputting outward remittances
• liaising with branches, business units, and correspondent banks to resolve discrepancies or delays
• collecting correspondence charges related to outward remittances and reconciling NOSTRO accounts
• responding to FIN 199/999 queries related to outward remittances
• submitting OTT-related reports to various regulatory and relevant bodies
• assisting in system upgrades, automation initiatives, and process improvements
• ensuring that OTTS processed are linked to the Sri Lanka Customs ASYCUDA system
