Open Competitive Examination for the Recruitment of Officers for the Post of Cooperative Development Officer Grade III in the Cooperative Development Department of the North Western Provincial Council Public Service – 2026

Applications are invited from both male and female Sri Lankan permanent residents of the North Western Province as mentioned in this notification for the recruitment of 31 vacancies of Cooperative Development Officer Grade III in the Cooperative Development Department of the North Western Provincial Council Public Service. It is hereby announced that this examination will be conducted by the North Western Provincial Council Public Service Commission in October 2026 at an examination center to be established in Kurunegala town. The North Western Provincial Council Public Service Commission has the power to postpone or cancel the examination.

01. Educational Qualifications and Professional Qualifications:

Educational Qualifications:-

• Passed the General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level) Examination in six (06) sittings with credit passes in Sinhala/Tamil/English Language, Mathematics and two other subjects.
• Passed all subjects (excluding the General Common Test) in the General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) Examination including one or more subjects from the following subjects: Economics, Biology, Agriculture, Combined Mathematics, Accountancy, Business Statistics, Business Studies.

Note – The language in which a credit pass must be obtained in the G.C.E. (Ordinary Level) Examination is considered to be the language medium in which the examination is applied.
