Applications are invited from Sri Lankan citizens to fill the vacant posts of Meteorological Assistant Grade III in the Department of Meteorology
02. Nature of the Post ;
- This post is permanent, with pension. Also, the post is to contribute to the Widows and Orphans Pension Scheme. Contributions to the relevant fund should be paid as prescribed by the Government from time to time. Recruitment will be made to the post of Meteorological Assistant Grade III.
- As per Public Administration Circular 10/2025, the monthly salary scale for this post is Rs. 40,000- 10×450-10×490-10×540-12×590-6.61,880/- (PL− 1 – 2025). (Payments will be made as per the provisions of Schedule III of P.A.C. 10/2025.) Must pass the first Efficiency Bar Test before the expiry of 03 years from the date of recruitment. (Subject to three (03) years from the date of appointment and will be confirmed in the post after completing the qualifications.)
Duties assigned;
- Cleaning the premises of the Meteorological Department Head Office and Regional Offices, assisting in the cleaning and maintenance of the office premises, cleaning the equipment room where meteorological observation activities are carried out and maintaining it according to the prescribed standards.
- Assisting in the cleaning and maintenance of meteorological equipment. Assisting in the meteorological observation activities at the Head Office and Regional Offices of the Meteorological Department.
