VACANCIES

Applications are invited from eligible Sri Lankan citizens for recruitment to the vacant posts of Senior Policy Research Officer (Grade I), Assistant/Deputy Secretary (Grade II), Accountant (Grade II), Policy Research Officer (Grade II), Administrative Officer (Grade II), Programme Officer (Policy/Planning) (Grade III), Programme Officer (Finance) (Grade III), Development Officer (Grade III), Management Services Officer (Grade III), and Driver (Grade III) in the National Education Commission.

01. General Qualifications

1. Must possess an excellent character.
2. Must not have been convicted or sentenced by a court of law.
3. Age (as at the closing date for receipt of applications):

• Senior Policy Research Officer (Grade I): Not less than 30 years and not more than 55 years of age
• Assistant/Deputy Secretary (Grade II): Not less than 22 years and not more than 45 years of age
• Accountant (Grade II): Not less than 22 years and not more than 45 years of age
• Policy Research Officer (Grade II): Not less than 22 years and not more than 45 years of age
• Administrative Officer (Grade II): Not less than 22 years and not more than 45 years of age
• Programme Officer (Policy/Planning/Finance) (Grade III): Not less than 22 years and not more than 45 years of age
• Management Services Officer (Non-Technical) (Grade III): Not less than 18 years and not more than 45 years of age
• Driver (Grade III): Not less than 18 years and not more than 45 years of age
  (The maximum age limit does not apply to employees of government and semi government institutions and internal applicants.)

• Must possess the physical and mental fitness required to properly perform the duties of the position and to serve in any part of the island.
