Key Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications accurately in accordance with applicable regulations and company policies.
- Review prescriptions for accuracy, dosage, drug interactions, and contraindications.
- Provide patients with appropriate medication counseling and usage instructions.
- Ensure compliance with SLMC and regulatory requirements related to pharmacy practice.
- Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation.
- Monitor and manage pharmaceutical inventory, including stock rotation and expiry control.
- Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
- Maintain high standards of customer service and patient confidentiality.
- Ensure the pharmacy is clean, organized, and compliant with hospital quality standards.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (BPharm) or SLMC Registered Pharmacist qualification.
- Valid Pharmacist License.
- Sound knowledge of medications, dispensing practices, and retail pharmacy operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy environment will be an added advantage.
- Good computer literacy and familiarity with pharmacy management systems.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
