Lanka Metro Transit (Pvt) Ltd (LMT) is a state-owned subsidiary of the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB), established to modernize urban public transport in the Colombo metropolitan area. Often referred to as the “Metro Bus Service,” it replaces fragmented transport options with an organized, technology-driven “bus cluster” company. The service utilizes a fleet of modern, low-floor, high-standard city buses designed to reduce traffic congestion and provide safe, accessible, and eco-friendly transportation.
