The Sri Lanka Ports Authority is the government-owned agency responsible for the management, maintenance and operation of Sri Lanka’s major commercial ports. Established in 1979 under the Ministry of Ports and Shipping, it oversees the Port of Colombo as well as strategic maritime hubs including the ports of Galle, Trincomalee and Hambantota.

Vacancies

The Sri Lanka Ports Authority is looking for qualified individuals for the following posts:-

1. POST OF ENGINEER (CIVIL)- MLM 1
2. POST OF ENGINEER (ELECTRICAL & ELECTRONICS) – MLM 1
3. POST OF ENGINEER (MARINE / MECHANICAL) – MLM 1

Eligibility:

• Should possess a B.Sc. Degree in (Civil/ Electrical & Electronics / (Marine/ Mechanical) Engincering from a recognized University or equivalent qualifications from IESL.

(b) Remuneration:

Salary Category : 4:1 (MLM 1)
Basic Salary : Rs. 92,650/-
Annual Increment: Rs. 1,725/-
Gross Salary is approximately Rs. 185,000/- (p.m.) inclusive of allowances

Note: Registration of Engineering Council of Sri Lanka (ECSL) under the Associate Engineer (A Eng.) category or higher is mandatory for the post of Engineer.

Applicants who are willing to apply for the above post should be below 45 years of age (This age limit will not apply to those in Government Departments or State  Corporations)

The selected candidates will be required to follow the rules and regulations already implementing and those to be implemented in future by the Sri Lanka Ports Authority. Selected candidates will be required to serve in any Division or Section of the Authority and any part ofthe Island as required by the Sri Lanka Ports Authority.
