JOB PROFILE
- Preparation of title reports, mortgage bonds and any other documents.
- Drafting and vetting various forms of legal agreements.
- Provide legal opinion/advise/ interpretation to the Bank.
- To assist Legal Department in initiating timely Legal action.
- Filing legal action against the default borrowers/Attending courts as and when required.
- Attending to Land Registry related matters.
APPLICANT’S PROFILE
- The candidate should be an Attorney-at-Law and Notary Public with license to practice in Colombo Judicial Zone.
- Age preferably below 40 years.
- Ability to attend to conveyancing matters including preparing title reports, Mortgage Bonds and other related security documents.
- Ability to draft all pleadings, agreements and legal documents.
- More than 05 years experience in Court work and Notarial work.
- Experience in the banking sector will be an added advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively.
- Proficient in drafting all pleadings, security documents.
- Good knowledge of the Laws relating to banking sector and expectations of the bank and its customers.
- Timely decision making skills after taking into considerations the risks involved.
- Be an excellent team player.
- Good command of the English language.
- Ability to handle stress full work situations.
- Good organizational and planning skills, attention to detailand the ability to maintain high confidentiality.
- Maintain strong interpersonal skills.
