Manager Financial Accounting – Sri Lankan Airlines Job Vacancies 2026

Purpose

Job Accountabilities:

• Manage the Company’s financial accounting, monitoring and reporting system by administering the efficient functioning of all finance ERP integrated systems.
• Monitor and direct effective application of financial controls to ensure integrity of financial records.
• Ensure the timely preparation of accurate monthly financial accounts in line with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles to monitor the Company’s performance.
• Timely preparation of Annual published Audited accounts.
• Maintain Accounting manuals and provide accounting guidelines and accounting procedures to all departmental heads and outstations, to ensure uniformity in accounting and reporting.
• Manage and liaise with external auditors with regard to interim and year end audit and ensure accounting policies and audit issues which may impact on financial statements are resolved and minimize issues reported in the Management Letter.
• Maintain financial security for the Company’s assets by establishing internal controls and ensuring that all stakeholders comply with the laid down policies and procedures.
• Lead and coach the finance accounting team, ensuring they are operating at the highest level and drive forward the department’s reporting process.
• Ensure that the Company complies with all local and overseas statutory tax and reporting requirements.
• Drive and coordinate all divisions to ensure the optimal use of ERP and other IT solutions for Finance.

Requirements

• Professional qualification from a recognized Accounting body (equivalent to a degree) with 6 years overall experience in finance with 3 years at Managerial level (post qualifying) and 3 years at Executive level.
• Minimum 2 years of experience at a reputed Audit firm will be considered as an added advantage.
