Applications are invited from Sri Lankan citizens who meet the following qualifications for the vacant post of Sports Officer in the Department of Sports Development, Management Assistant – Technical – Division 2 Service Category.
01. This recruitment is for the post of Sports Officer in the Department of Sports Development, Management Assistant – Technical – Division 2 Service Category. The last date for calling applications is 2026.03.27.
02. Conditions of Service:
- A selected candidate will be appointed to the posts of Sports Officer subject to the General Conditions Governing Appointments in the Public Service, the terms and conditions laid down in the Service Regulations of the Joint Service of Officers in the Sports Sector of the Department of Sports Development published in the Extraordinary Gazette No. 1986/2 dated 26.09.2016, the amendments made or to be made hereafter to the said Regulations, the conditions set out in the Rules of Procedure of the Public Service Commission published in the Extraordinary Gazette No. 2310/29 dated 2022.12.14, the Establishments Code and the Financial Regulations.
- This post is permanent. Pensionable. Although this post is pensionable, future recruits will be subject to the policy decisions taken by the Government regarding the pension scheme. Furthermore, you will be required to contribute to the Widows and Orphans Pension Scheme. You will be required to pay contributions as may be prescribed by the Government from time to time.
- This appointment is subject to a probationary period of three years. The Sports Officer in the Management Assistant – Technical – Division 2 Service Category (MT 02 – 2025) should pass the first efficiency cut-off test as specified in the recruitment procedure within 03 years of being recruited in Grade III.
- The Director General of Sports Development has the power to cancel the appointments of candidates who fail to assume the duties of the post offered to him on the due date.
