Job Description
To assist the Facilities Engineer (Civil) in fabricating, maintaining, and repairing small structures and both structural and non-structural elements of large industrial buildings including roofs, ceilings, gutters, and steel components to ensure all such elements remain in a safe and serviceable condition.
Key responsibilities:
- Welding civil structural components such as trusses, purlins, columns, brackets, gates, etc., using electric or oxy-acetylene welding to keep them in sound condition.
- Repairing roofs, gutters, downpipes, etc., to prevent water leaks.
- Attending carpentry work (constructing partitions, repairing doors, windows, wooden counters, changing lockers, repairing steel cupboards, wheelchairs, etc.) together with subordinate staff.
- Attending scheduled and ad-hoc repair jobs related to roofs and structures to ensure timely execution.
- Responsible for maintaining the welding plant and other required accessories in good working condition and in compliance with safety standards.
Requirements
- Sat for O/L and relevant course equivalent to NVQ level 3 for which the duration of course to be 6 months in the relevant field (Welding) with 2 years relevant working experience.
Note: Trainee and internship experience will not be considered as work experience.
Age to be not more than 35 years as at 12th January 2026 which is the closing date.
