VACANCIES

Applications are hereby invited from citizens of Sri Lanka for the following posts in the National Building Research Organization.

SENIOR SCIENTIST (ENGINEER) AR-2 (CIVIL & STRUCTURAL) [01 POST]

External:

Qualifications: (1 or 2 below)

1. A four year Bachelor’s special degree in Civil Engineering in the relevant post which is recognized by the University Grants Commission of Sri Lanka. (UGC)
   AND
2. A Postgraduate (Master) of science in Civil & Structural Engineering which is recognized by the UGC or Corporate Membership (chartered engineer) of Institution of engineers, Sri Lanka (IESL)
   AND
3. Minimum of eight (08) years Civil & Structural Engineering experience in a government corporation, Board, Statutory Institution or a reputed private institution, after obtaining the First degree.
4. A four year Bachelor’s special degree in Civil Engineering in the relevant post which is recognized by the University Grants Commission of Sri Lanka. (UGC)
   AND
5. A Ph.D (Doctor of Philosophy) in the Engineering field. AND
6. Minimum of five (05) years Civil & Structural Engineering experience in a government Corporation, Board, Statutory Institution or a reputed private institution, after obtaining the first degree.

Note: Research publication relevant to the respective discipline will be an added qualification.

MANAGER — LABORATORY/ TECHNICAL MM 1-1, GR. II [04 POSTS]

External :

1. A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Science/ Technology or in the relevant field appropriate subject combinations from a University recognized by the UGC,
   with
   OR
2. National Diploma in Technology (NDT) or not less than NVO – 6 with eight years of service as a technical officer in a Government Department/ Corporation/ Board or in a reputed Mercantile Establishment.
3. Service experience of a minimum of three (03) years of post qualifying experience in the field of laboratory analytical work or quality management system related areas.
