Calling Applications for G.C.E. A/L Examination 2025 Conducted by the Department of Examinations
The Department of Examinations has announced that the G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination 2025 will be conducted from November 10 to December 05, 2025.
Students who wish to sit for the exam must submit their applications online between June 26 and July 21, 2025.
Students of government schools and government-approved private schools must submit their applications through their respective school principals, while private candidates are required to submit their applications on their own.

General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) Examination – 2025
The General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) – 2025 Examination is scheduled to be held from 10th November 2025 to 05th December 2025 and it is hereby announced that applications will be accepted online from 26th June 2025 to 21st July 2025.
2. Accordingly, school applicants should submit their applications online through the principal of their school and private applicants should submit their applications in person as per the relevant instructions.
3. Private applicants should use their National Identity Card Number to apply for this examination.
4. Candidates should visit the official website of the Sri Lanka Examinations Department www.doenets.lk or www.onlineexams.gov.lk/eic and read the relevant instructions carefully and fill in the application form accordingly. A printed copy of the application form should be taken and kept safe for future reference. The username and password to be used for submitting the applications of school applicants have been provided to the school principals.
- I cannot apply for the examination after 12.00 midnight on 21st July 2025. I would like to emphasize that the last date for receiving applications will not be extended under any circumstances.
