GCE O/L Results Release Date 2024 (2025)
A total of 474,147 candidates registered for the 2024 GCE Ordinary Level Examination. Of these, 398,182 were school examination candidates. Also, 75,965 were private candidates. This year, the O/L examination was held at 3,663 examination centers across Sri Lanka. All these functions are managed by the Sri Lanka Examinations Department. We are also grateful to them for conducting the examinations in such a quality and well-managed manner.
The 2024 (2025) O/L examination began on Monday, March 17 and ended on Wednesday, March 26. Nearly 35,000 school teachers were directly and indirectly involved in the management of the examination centers. They distributed question papers to the candidates, collected answer sheets and supervised everything. We have also received information that the teachers are currently preparing for paper marking. For this reason, also expect the exam results to be released before July 15, 2025
