Post of Computer Operator (Typesetter-Sinhala)

The Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Limited (ANCL), widely known as the Lake House, is the home and heart of print media in Sri Lanka.

The Lake House is looking for a talented and dynamic individuals who possess the following qualifications and requirements to fill the above vacancy

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Passed the G.C.E. (O/L) examination in six subjects with 03 Credit passes including English Language.
• Competency in computer work with knowledge and experience in InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, MS Word and Quark Xpress software packages.
• Typing Speed – 40 words per minute (Sinhala)
• Ability to work extended hours

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Error-free advertising processing
• Making an attractive advertisement to satisfy both the advertiser and newspapers
• Should be able to perform the given tasks in a highly working oriented environment

Age – below 45 years

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Degree in Management, Hospitality, Administration or a related field with 2 years relevant experience as a Assistant/ Deputy Manager or equivalent
  Or
• Diploma in Management, Hospitality, Administration or a related field with 3 years relevant experience as a Assistant/ Deputy Manager or equivalent
  Or
• Passed G.C.E. (A/L) examination with 5 years’ relevant experience as a Assistant/Deputy Manager or equivalent
• Customer oriented and has can do attitude Proven experience in customer service, good housekeeping and gardening
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple responsibilities
• Ability to work both in Sinhala & English Languages
• Commitment to professional values
