- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with a minimum of 2 years managerial experience, OR
- Professional Qualification in Human Resource Management (PQHRM) or National Diploma in Human Resource Management of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management, Sri Lanka (CIPM) with 5 years of work experience in HRM, OR CEOs with five years of experience in the current post with proven track record in management, OR
- Any other professional qualifications acceptable to the Senate of OUSL
