Merchandising Associate – Modern Trade
Join the Richard Pieris Group, a dynamic and diversified conglomerate in Sri Lanka, and be a part of our journey to
success. We are looking for a Merchandising Associate – Modern Trade to contribute to the growth of Maskeliya
Tea Gardens Ceylon Limited, the tea marketing arm of the group.
Role Highlights:
- Ensure shelf visibility and planogram compliance in all assigned stores.
- Set up and maintain additional displays (block stacks, gondolas, promotional zones).
- Implement FIFO (First In -First Out) for proper stock rotation.
- Collect basic consumer feedback and monitor competitor activities.
- Ensure promotional compliance and conduct spot stock audits.
Qualifications, Skills & Requirements:
- GCE Ordinary Level qualification.
- Previous experience in modern trade or general trade merchandising, sales, or supermarket roles involving shelf replenishment will be an added advantage (preferred but not mandatory).
- Attention to detail with strong organizational abilities.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Ability to travel between assigned modern trade outlets; candidates should possess a valid riding license and have access to a motorbike.
