Associate – Quality Assurance

success. We are looking for a Associate – Quality Assurance to contribute to the growth of Maskeliya Tea Gardens
Ceylon Limited, our tea marketing arm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and analyze tea line samples upon receipt, in collaboration with the Tea Manager, ensuring compliance with tin or purchase samples.
- Verify the tea blending process against the blend sheet by physically checking tea lines and quantities, and sign the blend sheet as a verification step.
- Draw and evaluate samples from tea blends with the Tea Manager, comparing them against hand-weigh samples or previous batches.
- Conduct quality checks on all raw materials and packaging materials upon receipt, ensuring adherence to defined parameters.
- Monitor the quality of finished goods during production, including sealing, pasting, and printing processes.
- Maintain accurate procedures and documentation in line with ISO 22000:2018 standards.
- Perform quality checks at contract packaging facilities and upon receipt of contract-packaged goods.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Passed GCE Advanced Level preferably in the science or technology stream.
- A part/ full qualification in food science/ food technology or quality management would be advantageous.
- Prior experience in quality assurance would be advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Job Location:
- The position is based at our production & distribution centre in Maharagama.
- For ease of commute, preference will be given to candidates residing within a 25km radius of Maharagama.
