Job Responsibilities

• Evaluate credit proposals & provide recommendations for approval.
• Coordinate with branches, valuation officers and legal officers to expedite the processing of retail loans, ultimately reducing turnaround time & improving credit quality.
• Follow up with branches, Marketing & Sales teams to ensure the timely disbursement of approved facilities without any delay.
• Scrutinize and verify the accuracy of details submitted by branches and the sales team for credit evaluation purposes.
• Liaise with branches and Sales teams to follow-up and obtain required statistics and information as needed.
• Assess & compare monthly and annual progress and recommend product developments and process development to enhance the market share of the bank.
• Handle & follow-up on all retail loan leads received and submit the monthly summary on time.

The Person

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in banking.
• Full or part qualification in Banking from IBSL or any other related qualification from a reputed professional body.
• Knowledge on banking practice and theory, local banking regulations and regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical and interpretational skills.
• High standard of computer literacy.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Sinhala both verbal and written.
