The Sri Lanka Ports Authority is the government-owned agency responsible for the management, maintenance and operation of Sri Lanka’s major commercial ports. Established in 1979 under the Ministry of Ports and Shipping, it oversees the Port of Colombo as well as strategic maritime hubs including the ports of Galle, Trincomalee and Hambantota.

VACANCIES

Applications are invited from Sri Lankan citizens who meet the qualifications to fill the following vacancies at the Sri Lanka Ports Authority.

Sea Traffic Co-ordinator (Galle / Trincomalee) (Vacancies: 03)

Salary:

Salary Category Supra Grade – 6.3 (SG 3)
Basic Salary Step : Rs. 53,425/=
Annual Increment : Rs. 1,150/=
(Gross salary is approximately Rs. 132,000/= per month)

Qualifications:

Passed in three (03) subjects at the G.C.E. (Advanced Level) examination at one sitting
And
Should possess a valid Certificate of Competency issued or recognized by the Director General of Merchant Shipping of Sri Lanka, or an equivalent valid Certificate of Competency issued by the Maritime Administration of India or Australia, or recognized Higher Certificate of
Competency as Master on ships of not less than 3000 GT engaged in Near Coastal Voyages (N.C.V.)
