Recruitment for Labourer Posts (On Contract Basis)

National Engineering Research and Development Centre of Sri Lanka, the island’s premier engineering research and development institution under the Ministry of Science and Technology, provides services primarily to engineering research and development projects, commercial projects and industries based on national needs.

Applications are invited from Sri Lankan citizens with the following qualifications for recruitment on contract basis for three vacant Labourer (PL-1) posts in our centre for a period of 06 months.

Basic Qualifications – Must have appeared for the G.C.E. (O/L) examination.

Age – Should be between 18 – 45 years of age.

Relevant Duties – Performing labourer duties in the Pre-Concrete Yard of the Civil Engineering Department.

Salary – Rs. 38,488/- (As on 01/2025). In addition, a living allowance of Rs. 17,800 – will be paid.

Other Benefits –

• 15% contribution of the company to the Employees’ Provident Fund and 10% contribution of the employee.
• 3% contribution of the company to the Employees’ Trust Fund.
• Overtime allowance will be paid for additional work as per the requirement of the service.
