VACANCIES
The University of Colombo Institute for Agro-Technology and Rural Sciences will entertain applications for the under mentioned posts from suitably qualified persons up to 25.05.2026.
1. Post: Temporary Assistant Lecturer-English
Qualifications:
- A special/general degree in English/Teaching English as a Second Language/Linguistics (English medium) with/without honours.
Preference will be given for those who have work experience in IT.
Salary and other conditions:
Salary Code: U-AC 2, Rs. 85,305/-p.m. (Fixed) plus other approved allowances (as at 01.01.2026)

2. Post: Management Assistant Garde III (Store-Keeping)
Qualifications:
- Should have passedthe G.C.E. (O/L) Examination in six (06) subjects at one sitting with creditpasses in Sinhala Language/Tamil Language, English Language/English Literature, Mathematics
AND - Should have passed in all subjects at G.C.E. (A/L) Examination (except the Common General papers) at one sitting.
Preference will be given to those who possess the following:
- An acceptable qualification in computer applications of not less than six (06) months duration obtained from a recognized institute.
AND - Two years ofexperience inthe use of computer application packages. AND
- One year experience in Store-Keeping and/or a pass in the subject of Commerce at the G.C.E (Ordinary Level) Examination or in the subject of Accountancy at the G.C.E. (Advance Level) Examination.
