ARCHITECT
Key responsibilities of Architect among others are as follows;
- Architectural Designing
- Preparation of Drawings including floor plans, elevations, sections, 3D views
- Coordination with other Consultants / Authorities & Contractors
- Attending to tasks in major renovation and construction projects such as Site visits / Site supervisions, Preliminary Feasibility Studies, Preparation of Design Brief Selection and Engagement of Consultants, Coordination with Project Consultants, Contractors, Local Authorities to achieve project targets
- Preparation of Preliminary feasibility study of projects including, Analyzing the project brief, Analyzing site in
relation to requirements & functions, Preparation of documents necessary for outline planning approvals &
follow-up action with relevant authorities - Interior Architecture – Furniture & Furnishings including preparation of interior concept & layouts & material & color selections/ preparation of documents for furniture & furnishings.
- Any other official duties and responsibilities entrusted by the bank which is within the capability and / or
expertise of the employee to perform.
KEY COMPETENCIES
- Knowledge on Civil Engineering specifications, Conditions of contracts, Standard method of measurements,
Civil Engineering designs and Interior works - Project planning and Progress Monitoring Methods
- Sound knowledge on computer software packages including drafting and project
- Procurement procedures
- Communication skills
- Negotiation skills
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Should be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
- Should possess a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Architecture from a University or a degree awarding
Institute recognized by the University Grants Commission of Sri Lanka with Charter qualification with minimum 5 years of post-degree qualifying experience in Architectural works in construction projects.
Age
- Age preferably below 45 years of age as at closing date of applications.
METHOD OF SELECTION
Shortlisted applicants based on the stipulated qualifications and experience will be called for an interview. The
appointment will be made on contract basis and performance will be evaluated annually.
REMUNERATION
An attractive and negotiable remuneration package commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered
to the selected candidate for the above position.
