Organizing and Empowering Dairy Farmers to Enhance Their Productivity and Improve the Dairy Value Chain”
Applications are invited from qualified and dedicated Sri Lankan citizens for the recruitment of Thirteen (13) Social Mobilizers on a contract basis for the above Project funded by the World Bank.
The Project Management Unit (PMU) has been established at the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Land and Irrigation, Battaramulla and the Project is being implemented in 12 districts: Gampaha, Kandy, Matale, Nuwara Eliya, Kurunegala, Puttalam, Ampara, Badulla, Galle, Hambantota, Anuradhapura, and Polonnaruwa.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
- A two-year Diploma in Animal Husbandry or Agriculture from a recognized institution,
AND - Have experience with a background in the field data collection/surveying prior or implementation of dairy or agriculture or similar projects, Minimum General Experience: 2 Years.
- A valid motorcycle riding license and an own motorcycle for field visits
- Age: Not less than 18 years and not more than 40 years as at the closing date of applications.
- Monthly Allowance: Rs. 80,000/- + Rs. 20,000/- field allowance.
- Regular travel within the assigned district will be part of the duties; therefore, possession of a motorcycle and a smart mobile phone will be considered as added advantage.
- Proficiency in English and computer literacy are considered essential pre-requisites.
