VACANCIES

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the following posts in the University of Peradeniya.

1) ELECTRONICS ENGINEER GRADE III

Salary Scale: Rs. 85,305 3×2,020 – 91,365 (EB) 93,765; 12×2,400 122,565 p.m. (as at 01.01.2025) [U-EX-I (II)]

Qualifications:

1. Should possess a B.Sc. Engineering Degree from a recognized university / HEI specializing in Electrical/ Electronics Engineering or equivalent qualifications.
2. Age limit will not apply.

2) NURSING OFFICER GRADE II

Salary Scale: Rs. 51,095 -7×540;10×640-60,575 p.m. (as at 01.01.2025) [U-MT I )III([

Qualifications:

1. G.C.E. (Ordinary Level) Examination in six subjects at not more than two sittings with credit passes in 03 subjects.
2. Certificate of competence as a Nurse recognized by the Sri Lanka Medical Council

Age Limit: Not more than 45 years of age on the closing date of applications.

Please note that the following allowances will also be paid in addition to the salary indicated in each post above.

• Cost of Living Allowance – Rs. 17,800/-
• Monthly Compensatory Allowance (MCA @ 36% – Rs.330) of the Basic Salary

(Unpaid Amount as per the 06/2025 Circular Rs. 15,507/- Electronics Engineer Grade III and Rs. 4,885/- Nursing Officer Grade II)

GENERAL NOTES:

1. The University reserves the right to shortlist the applications and summon candidates for the interview, based on the prevailing rules and regulations.
2. Employees of Government/ Corporations should forward their applications through the Heads of respective Departments/ Corporations along with a certified statement of the present salary particulars. The applications which are not received through the proper channel on or before the closing date will not be considered.
3. The selected candidates will become contributors to the Universities Provident Fund as well as the Universities Pension Scheme, the contributions being 10% from the employee to the Provident Fund and 7% and 8% from the employer to the Provident Fund and Pension Fund respectively. Further contribution of 3% will be made by the employer to the Employees Trust Fund.
4. Application forms should be downloaded from the University Website at http://www.pdn.ac.lk/Vacancies/ and duly completed application along with photocopies of certificates in proof of qualifications and experience/ service should be sent by Registered Post to Deputy Registrar, Non-Academic Establishments Division, University of Peradeniya on or before 28.07.2025.
