TAX / FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT (DIRECT REPORT TO THE AUSTRALIAN COMPANY) WORK FROM HOME

Austral Group, a well-established Accounting & Business Consulting firm based in Australia, is seeking a full-time remote Accountant to join our growing team. Key Responsibilities:

• General bookkeeping
• Preparation of financial statements and accounts
• BAS preparation and monthly account reconciliations
• Individual, company and trust tax return preparation and filing
• Capital gains tax calculations and rental/investment property schedules
• Handling of FBT (particularly car-related) and Division 7A compliance • Knowledge about Personal service income
• Reviewing junior team members’ work

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Australian public practice accounting firm
• A strong knowledge of Australian tax system & Tax legislation
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting and year-end reporting
• Proficiency in Xero, QuickBooks, MYOB or similar
• Attention to detail & problem solving skills required
• Diploma or degree in Accounting would be viewed favorably
• Excellent English communication skills (client and ATO interaction) • Strong administrative and rapport-building skills
