Graduate Teacher Examination Coming Soon 2025

The Minister of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education, Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, says that the judicial process of the four cases pending in the Supreme Court, which is a reason for the delay in recruiting unemployed graduates as teachers, is currently in its final stages.

Therefore, the Prime Minister said that the Gazette will be issued immediately after the completion of the judicial proceedings and will provide the opportunity for graduates to apply for the teaching examination.

She said this during a discussion held at the Ministry of Education among representatives of the Joint Association of Unemployed Graduates.

She also stated that necessary steps will be taken to carry out the recruitment of other graduates as required, as has already been approved by the Cabinet.

It was also agreed to revise the age limit for applying for the teaching examination and extend the age limit and to recruit all existing teacher vacancies promptly.
