Cabinet approval for new Government Job Vacancies 2025
The proposal submitted by Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya to grant approval to relevant ministries and institutions to make new recruitments to fill vacancies in public service institutions has received Cabinet approval.
Accordingly, Cabinet approval has been received for new recruitments for a total of 5,882 vacancies, including 909 vacancies in the Ministry of Transport, Highways, Ports and Civil Aviation, 109 in the Ministry of Women and Child Affairs, 144 in the Ministry of Environment, 2,500 in the Ministry of Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs, 22 in the Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education, 03 in the Ministry of Science and Technology, 185 in the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development, 20 in the Ministry of Fisheries, Aquatic and Marine Resources, 1,615 in the Ministry of Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government, 72 in the Central Provincial Council, and 303 in the Uva Provincial Council.
