A Cabin Crew Member is a very important job, since you represent the face of SWISS to our passengers on the aircraft. You ensure that our guests feel comfortable on board with your smile, courteous manner and keen sense of responsibility.
Your daily routine varies as much as our destinations: You are responsible for safety and well-being, following procedures and reacting spontaneously to different needs and situations.
Your tasks
- Before each flight you familiarise yourself thoroughly and are optimally prepared for your rotation.
- You prepare the aircraft cabin to ensure all new guests feel welcome.
- You are responsible for ensuring that safety regulations are followed in accordance with international guidelines.
- You carry out service procedures with confidence and always comply with SWISS quality standards.
- You skilfully prepare meals for our guests in the galley and organise the service.
- You promote the sale of exclusive duty-free goods.
- On European flights, you entice our Economy Class guests with the range of products from the “SWISS Saveurs” catering offer.
You require
- a Swiss or EU passport
- Minimum age: 18 years at the time of application. There is no upper age limit.
- Minimum height: 155 cm
- You have a strong commitment to providing the best possible service and take great pleasure in dealing with people from different cultures.
- You are very flexible and adaptable. You don’t mind working irregular hours.
- You are a reliable and conscientious team player.
- You are also in good health and able to work well under pressure.
- You have completed professional training for a Swiss Federal VET Diploma or post-secondary school certificate (e.g. A levels).
- A good command of German and English will suffice. Other languages may also be an advantage, and some might even boost your salary.
- You have a well-groomed appearance. Tattoos are not a problem provided you can cover them up with your uniform (long-sleeved shirt, long trousers, foulard scarf). You have no visible piercings or you can remove them during working hours.
- Be ready to be vaccinated with vaccines approved in Switzerland (incl. COVID-19, yellow fever, etc.).
- If you are liable for compulsory service, you must have completed your basic military training.
- You have good swimming skills.
- It is essential to reach Zurich airport within one hour during standby duty.
