Manager – Key Accounts

Position Snapshot:

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Country Business Manager – Nestlé Professional, the candidate is responsible to develop and implement Sales and Marketing plans for Key Accounts whilst developing a long-term customer relationship with key clients and chains maintaining market leadership. Seek and develop Key Accounts  and manage acquisition plans driving cooperation and effectively utilize new sales opportunities in the Nestlé Professional sales channels.

A day in the life of the role:

  • Develop and manage sales plans, customer promotions and strategies to meet the budgeted volumes and profit targets for key out of home customers and to effectively manage relevant key accounts.
  • Roll out new products in the field whilst giving market insights for new product development especially targeting key accounts.
  • Prepare product and machine forecast in line with dynamic market conditions and develop the business by acquiring key strategic locations.
  • Formulate new strategies to expand the overall business by way of increasing consumption opportunities, capturing island wide event opportunities and focusing on strategic sites.
  • Constantly evaluate and monitor market opportunities and trends to proactively introduce new solutions to be ahead of competition.
  • Single point of contact for sustainability initiatives for the business.

What will make you successful?

  • Education:  A degree in Marketing or Business Management.
  • Expected experience: minimum 5 years of relevant commercial exposure gained in more than one product category with prior experience in Marketing and Sales.
  • Language skills: Fluency in English and Sinhala. Fluency in Tamil would be an added advantage.
  • Other skills: Possess strong leadership, team orientation and people development skills, and knowledge on key functions like Commercial, Finance, Technical and Supply Chain.
