340,000 Foreign jobs Vacancies in 2025 for Sri Lankans
The Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment says it expects to provide foreign employment opportunities to 340,000 Sri Lankan citizens this year.
The Bureau of Foreign Employment Chairman Kosala Wickramasinghe said this while participating in the awareness program for newly licensed foreign employment agents held at the Bureau of Foreign Employment today (23).
In 2024, 311,000 people were provided with foreign employment, and the Bureau of Foreign Employment has made plans to increase this number by 12% this year and provide such employment opportunities.
Accordingly, the Chairman further stated that people should be sent abroad for employment correctly by implementing regulations.
He also said that he has received information that certain agencies that have obtained foreign employment permits are engaging in fraudulent activities, and that punishment will be given to such individuals regardless of their status.
