Vacancies

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the following vacant posts at the Northwestern University of Sri Lanka.

1. Library Worker Grade III
2. Garden Worker Grade III
3. Security Guard Grade III
4. Playground Worker Grade III
5. Work Assistant Grade III

Qualifications: 1) G.C.E. (Ordinary Level) Examination with at least two (02) credit passes in six (06) subjects, not more than twice.

Age: Must be over 18 years of age and not more than 45 years of age as on the closing date for applications.

Other Requirements:

All applicants;

1. Must be Sri Lankan citizens.
2. Must be physically and mentally fit to perform the duties of the position well and to serve in any part of the island.
3. Must be persons of good character.

Salary Scale:

42,775 10×450; 10×490; 10×540; 12×640 – 65,255 (0) (U-PL 1 – 2025)

(Salary will be paid as per the guidelines given in Management Services Circular No. 06/2025 and University Grants Commission Circular No. 02/2025(i).)

(In addition to this, allowances approved by the Government and the University Grants Commission will also be paid. The University Provident Fund, University Pension Fund and Employees’ Trust Fund will be entitled to their contributions.)

Method of Recruitment: Through a professional test and/or structured interview.

Duly completed applications should be sent by registered post to the Deputy Registrar, Non-Academic Institutions Division, Wayamba University of Sri Lanka, Kuliyapitiya on or before 04th November 2025. Only certified true copies of certificates in support of relevant qualifications should be attached with the application and the post applied for should be clearly mentioned on the top left corner of the envelope containing the application. Applicants currently serving in Higher Educational Institutions, Government Departments, Corporations and Statutory Boards should send their applications through the Heads of the relevant institutions. Applications that are incomplete or do not meet the above qualifications or fail to be sent before the due date will be rejected. Applications so rejected will not be considered again for any reason.
